The creative concept around the opening of the first Media Markt in China was build around three extraordinary events. The flag ship store opening with a 3D projection (first time in China) and a guerilla event “Moving into Shanghai” as well as the VIP Party and store opening ceremony.

The moving in was performed by 1.000 movers, 20 tricycles, 40 trucks all over Shanghai towards the store. Media Markt showed literally moving into the store.

At the opening day more than 20.000 visitors were hosted at the store. A 3D projection was shown on the building façade, spreading the message about Media Markt and celebrating the first store out of more than 100 all over China in a few years.
